CFEO Education Career Scholarship
Background:The Caldwell Foundation for Educational Opportunity, Inc., known also as the CFEO, was organized in 1992 to administer memorial and other funds in the interest of Caldwell School District students, faculty, staff and patrons. The Foundation adopted a Mission Statement which reads, in part, “…..(support the) pursuit of education whether that pursuit is the key to virtue, to living the good life, to advance society or is directed to intellect or the character of their soul, or to things useful or the essentials in their lives, or the lives of others.”
The student chosen to receive this award will be a student who has invested personal time in tutoring or teaching in community situations, such as Sunday School or recreational programs. The student will be planning on pursuing a teaching/education related degree. Participation in the Teacher Cadet program of the Caldwell School District is an advantage for this scholarship. The recipient should be planning on attending an Idaho college or university and/or planning to teach in Idaho schools.
Criteria:
Graduating Senior of Caldwell High School3.5 GPA or betterResume of tutoring and/or teaching experience, to include Sunday School, community, or other experiences. Students who have participated in the Teacher Cadet program will be given higher consideration.Must be registering with a teaching/education major at an accredited institution.Candidates must be attending an Idaho college and/or planning on returning to teach in Idaho schools.Statement of financial needEssay addressing intent and motivation to pursue teaching/education degree, and your plans subsequent to college graduation.TranscriptTwo Letters of Recommendation
