Class of '73 Scholarship

Background

This scholarship has been created by members of the Caldwell High School Class of 1973 to honor their deceased classmates by assisting a graduating CHS senior.

Criteria

  • Be a graduating Senior of Caldwell high School

  • Have a seven semester GPA of 2.7 or above

  • Have taken a minimum of three CTE courses or completed a Career and Technical education pathway in high school

  • Be accepted by, and at the time of the award enrolled in, an approved technical college within one of Idaho’s public colleges in accordance with the following: a. As a full-time student, as defined by the school, in a career and technical education program pursuing an undergraduate course of study which require at least nine months ofconsecutive attendance and leads to a first degree, technical certificate, or award; or b. As a full-time student in an approved Idaho Launch program at a Workforce Training Center at an Idaho public college

  • This scholarship requires submission of two letters of recommendation: a. From Career/Technical student organization advisor, or Career/Technical education instructor, and b. From a teacher, adult employer, church leader, or activity leader.

  • Submit a transcript

  • Submit copies of industry certifications (optional)

  • Complete application essay on why you have chosen your career path. This essay should include an introduction of the applicant, why you have chosen your career path, what school you plan to attend, and how you intend to use the education in the future.
