Warren “Moke” Strong Memorial Scholarship

Background

Warren “Moke” Strong served the Caldwell School District and touched the lives of countless students for 27 years. During his career, Mr. Strong worked as a classroom teacher, vice principal, principal and coach. Having graduated from Payette High School in 1957 and Albertson College of Idaho in 1962, Moke taught in Middleton and Emmett before coming to Caldwell. He brought with him a unique ability to convey, to each of his students, an attitude of caring; all knew that he considered them to be “special”. In honor of his life and contributions, the Caldwell High School track complex was named after him; in August 2000 he was inducted into the Idaho High School Activities Association of Fame; and in April 2001, the Warren “Moke” Strong Memorial Scholarship was established to help a deserving student attend college.
