Class of '78 Scholarship

Background

This fund is established by the members and supporters of the Caldwell High School Graduating Class of 1978. It is the intent of this Class to establish a scholarship in recognition of graduating students of Caldwell High School or Canyon Springs High School who have made a significant positive leadership impact upon their high school and the community of Caldwell while attending high school.

Criteria

  • Must be a graduating senior of Caldwell High School of Canyon Springs High School

  • Student must be recommended by a letter of recommendation from a high school faculty member, then complete an application

  • Completed Application

  • Demonstrated significant positive leadership impact upon the high school and the Caldwell community while attending high school

  • Minimum GPA accumulative grade point average of 2.5 [GPA above 2.5 shall not be weighted in selection]

  • Letter of recommendation from one other person with knowledge of the positive leadership impact of the student upon the Caldwell Community

  • Using specific examples write a 500 to 750 word essay on this topic: If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader. (John Quincy Adams) How does this describe you as a leader, in and out of school.

  • Submitted transcript, ACT/SAT scores
