Beverly J. Martin Foundation Scholarship Fund

Background

Beverly J. Martin served the Caldwell School District as a physical education teacher at Caldwell High School with distinction. She was hired in August of 1969 as a physical education teacher and Girl’s Athletic Association Advisor at Caldwell High School. She coached for 14 years and her teams earning multiple District titles. She was a counselor for 10 years. In 1992, she received the Caldwell High School Teacher of the Year award, and in 1993 was awarded the School District Teacher of the Year. The Idaho Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance, in 1994, awarded her the State Teacher of the Year. Beverly Martin retired in October of 2002 after 33 years of service.

Criteria

  • Completed Application

  • Graduating Senior of Caldwell High School enrolled in accredited college or university program

  • Limited to a female students

  • Must attend an institution of higher learning in the State of Idaho

  • Must have the intention of majoring in Education

  • Completed with their application an essay [limited to 250 words] explaining their reasons and plans for pursuing an education degree at an institution of higher learning in the State of Idaho

  • Must demonstrate a great likelihood of completing a degree in education at an institution of higher learning in the state of Idaho

  • Transcript and ACT and/or SAT scores

  • Closing Date: 02-26-2025 11:45pm
