Ruth A. Evans Elementary Teacher Scholarship Fund

Background

Ruth Evans was born in 1961 when her parents were stationed in Germany. Her mother was a native German and her father was an Air Force Sergeant. As with most service children, Ruth spent most of her early life moving from one location to the next. Ruth attended Caldwell High School and attended Boise State University. She received her degree and began teaching in the Caldwell School District in 1983. Ruth’s first teaching assignment was the fourth grade at Washington Elementary School. Ruth Evan’s career was concluded at Wilson Elementary School, a school she attended as a young child. During Ruth’s 15 years of teaching she has touched the lives of many students in the Caldwell School District. She was a friend to children and made an impact in the lives of the children she was blessed to teach. Ruth was very committed to her profession and served on several curriculum-setting committees for the State of Idaho.
