Class of ’54 Scholarship
Background
The Caldwell High School Class of 1954 established an Endowment to award this scholarship out of the Members of the Class’ gratitude for their experiences which enriched their lives while at Caldwell High School. In the words of the Members of the Class, “Those were great years to be that age and we were all fortunate to be where we were. We were in a protected and supportive place, which is what we wish for all young people, in every time. Caldwell high School provided to us a fine educational opportunity and a forgiving place to develop healthy attitudes and insights with which to approach the rest of our lives, no matter what path we have followed since. We had many opportunities and we very much, each in our individual way, are appreciative of Caldwell High School and persons there who cared about our education and personal development.” It is for these reasons that this scholarship was created and is awarded.
