Description

Howard Massey began teaching at Caldwell High School in August of 1989. Prior to that, he was a welder for 17 years at Morrison-Knudsen Rail Company. Many students thought of Howard as a second father for whom they had great respect and admiration. This scholarship, originally the Technology Welding Scholarship, was created by Howard Massey. The purpose of the award was, and still is, to promote, develop, and fund scholarships for educational and vocational training of graduates of Caldwell High School. The students must be continuing their education in a duly accredited institution of vocational/technical training and this training must include welding, brazing, or soldering as part of the curricula.
